The Lone Star State's premiere cocktail evangelist, David "Tipsy Texan" Alan, will release his Tipsy Texan: Spirits And Cocktails From The Lone Star State book on June 11th, and Eater Austin has a look inside at his recipes and ruminations. In the book, Alan breaks down drinks such as the Suffering Baptist, a variation on tiki classic the Suffering Bastard, this version made with Balcones' True Blue corn whiskey, and shares entertaining ideas like the "Tex-Mex happy hour," complete with recipes for his Tequila Slammer and brisket nachos.
