Starting at 10:15 a.m. today, it's gonna get real hot in the Eater Austin kitchen. We'll present you with five polls featuring five chefs, each running for one hour's worth of polling. In a final sixth round of voting, we'll name a city-wide winner. That chef will go on to compete with winners from across Eater America.

And this isn't Eater Austin's first time at that there rodeo, neither: that formidable-looking chef right up there? He's Kurt 'The Irish Chef' Ramborger, last year's nationwide winner for Hottest Chef. He took this whole thing deeply unseriously, and so should you.
