Beauty Ballroom Shutters To Make Way For Antone's

There's a game of musical music venues going on in the East Riverside area: Antone's will move out of downtown and into the old Beauty Ballroom space at 2015 E. Riverside Drive, reports the Statesman:

Frank Hendrix confirmed that Antone's will move to 2015 E. Riverside Dr., in the space occupied by the Beauty Ballroom. He is also in negotiations to open a lounge at two downtown hotels.

The Beauty Ballroom morphed from the downtown Beauty Bar into its Riverside digs in December 2011 and shuttered last week with a "thanks for the good times, Austin." But some of its fans are less reserved: "Fuck Antones. It's gonna be a bunch of momrock and KGSR horseshit. WAY TO GO, FUCKO'S."
