Chinatown owner Ronald Cheng tells Eater that he's opening a third location in Westlake this spring. In fact, the restaurant first got its start in the exact same location thirty years ago, and Cheng calls the move a "triumphant return." His daughter Ashley Cheng, who sits on the board of Slow Food Austin and is an Eater Austin contributor, says that she's working with her father to explore incorporating local sourcing into the new location's menu. Chinatown has two other branches in Austin, one at Mopac and Greystone Drive, and a downtown location on East 5th.
