How Do You Roll? Expanding to Middle East; Sherry Event at FINO; Mulberry's Winter Menu

EXPANSIONWIREThe Austin Business Journal reports that local sushi chain How Do You Roll? has signed a 40-store expansion deal to open stores in the Middle East, starting with Bahrain. They're also looking to expand stateside, like, a lot. The ABJ reports that they signed "11 franchise agreements for the development of 286 units during the next 10 years." [ABJ]

WEST CAMPUSFINO will be hosting a holiday sherry tasting this Thursday, December 19, with distributors Amibente, Glazers, Pioneer and Virtuoso. Per FINO: "Attendance will be $5 and includes tastes of all sherrys available as well as light food accompaniments. A paired prix fixe menu will also be offered for diners that would like to stay to explore how the wines of Jerez work with food." Bar Manager Francisco Terrazas is extremely passionate about sherry, and this promises to be an interesting event. [Eaterwire]

DOWNTOWNMulbery is releasing a new winter menu, and chef Kristine Kittrell will host a dinner on Wednesday, December 18th to premiere the new offerings. Tickets are $25 and include a glass of wine or beer. Check out the menu below. [Eaterwire]
