Last week, chefs Rene Ortiz and Laura Sawicki announced that they have partnered with the owners of Fresa's to open a new restaurant and grocery. The project will feature a main restaurant, Launderette, as well as a grocery and a Szechuan-focused Chinese take-out joint called Angry Bear. Ortiz will serve as executive chef, and Sawicki will run the pastry side of the restaurant, as well as offer her own creations in the grocery. They are hoping to open summer of 2014.
Eater has received intel that 2115 Holly Street is a possible location. Right now, the site is occupied by the Kleen Wash laundromat, and it shares a parking lot with Mr. Mc's Neighborhood Grocery. Take a look around below.
UPDATE: Eater Austin confirmed with a spokesperson of the upcoming restaurant that the location has been set as 2115 Holly Street.
