CHERRYWOODCultureMap takes a look at the Thanksgivukkah menu at Salty Sow, which will be offered from November 29-December 6. For the uninitiated, the first day of Hanukkah falls on Thanksgiving this year, hence the latke/turkey mashups. Chef Harold Marmulstein will be offering beef shoulder, kasha varnishkes, and sweet potato latkes. The Salty Sow's regular menu will also be available. [CultureMap]

SOUTH FIRSTSway Thai's executive chef Alexis Chong is featured in a short video that chronicles a day in her life at the restaurant. The video features a sneak peek into Sway, as well as insight into Chong's process of developing dishes and running a kitchen. [Eaterwire]

NORTH LAMARZagat lists five spots to "slurp noodles" on North Lamar. Picks include pho at Pho Van, TC Noodle House's Singapore noodles, and the meatball vermicelli soup at Coco's Cafe.
