ALLANDALE — The Statesman reports that Hat Creek Burger Co. on Burnet Road is closed for remodeling. They are adding outdoor seating and a kid's playscape to bring the location "more in line with their overall concept." The mini-chain also opened a new location in Georgetown last week. [Statesman]
DOWNTOWN — The ELM Restaurant group, which owns 24 Diner, Arro, and Easy Tiger, have hired master sommelier Craig Collins as their executive beverage director. Per the press release, Collins will oversee beverage operations at all three restaurants and "will also play a critical role in the planning and execution of all future ELM concepts." A rep for the company says no concrete expansion plans are in the works just yet. [Eaterwire]
