HYDE PARKThe Austin Post reports that Hyde Park Market, aka The Flag Store, is on track to become The Flag Pub. The popular Hyde Park mega-bodega has been approved by their neighborhood association to open a beer garden with over 200 taps. At least one NIMBY was worried about the beer garden attracting "parties of young people," but owner Tony Hooman says the craft beer on offer will draw "an older crowd." [Austin Post]

AUCTIONWIREEdible Austin will be hosting a 'chef auction' on Thursday, November 21 to raise money for local nonprofits Sustainable Food Center and Urban Roots. Paul Qui, Bryce Gilmore, Houston's Monica Pope and more will offer special dining packages to the highest bidder. [Eaterwire]
