DOWNTOWN — Russian House is launching a new dinner series called "Taste of USSR." Each month, they will feature the cuisine of one of the fifteen republics that made up the former Soviet republic. The first dinner will be held Wednesday, November 20 at 7pm. Prix fixe tickets are $25, and the featured republic will be Armenia. [Eaterwire]
RAINEY STREET — Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden will be hosting a Thanksgiving smoke-out next Saturday, November 23 at 8pm. The menu will include "smoked whole turkeys and hams, served with sweet potatoes (topped with marshmallows, of course!) mashed potatoes and brown gravy, stuffing, orange-cranberry sauce and green beans with almonds." EAST SIDE — The North Door will be hosting a special "sit-down dinner and movie series" with Tom Micklethwait of Micklethwait Craft Meats. A screening of The Royal Tenenbaums will be paired with a Thanksgivingish dinner, including a turducken. The event will be on Friday, November 22 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
