Pastry Chef Janina O'Leary is OUT at TRACE

Lauded executive pastry chef Janina O'Leary has left her position at TRACE at the W Hotel. A representative from the W released the following statement:

"Janina is a creative and passionate pastry chef and we've enjoyed having her as a part of the TRACE team. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

O'Leary was a semifinalist this year in the James Beard Award's "Rising Star Chef of the Year" category and is a veteran of New York's Per Se and Del Posto. No word yet on her future plans.

Update! O'Leary has also released a statement:

"I have made the hard decision to leave the W and TRACE restaurant and I wish them all the luck in the future. I am completely humbled by all the future inquires and opportunities as well as excited!"
