Drafthouse South Lamar Releases a Plywood Update

The Alamo Drafthouse is so hyped about coming back to South Lamar that they're doing their own plywood reports. The rendering above is courtesy of their blog, and as Eater Austin Editor Emeritus Paula Forbes notes on Twitter, Michael Hsu's office even added in some bats and/or grackles for extra Austiny goodness. The Alamo also posted a number of pictures of the in-progress site, which now has, like, walls. There's no official re-opening date yet, but Fantastic Fest next September is scheduled for the South Lamar location.

Update! Zagat reports that, per an earlier interview with Drafthouse mixologist Bill Norris, the South Lamar location and the Highball are slated to re-open in March.
