What will happen to Jovita's now that beloved community leader and twice-convicted murderer Amado "Mayo" Pardo has shuffled off South First Street's mortal coil? The Tex-Mex restaurant's owner and a number of other employees were arrested in a raid last year; Pardo was accused of leading a gang-affiliated heroin trafficking ring headquartered at the restaurant. He died before he could go to trial. Now, Pardo's lawyer says, the "family would like the business to continue." [KXAN]
