Sagra, the local-food-focused Italian restaurant that was forced out of its home of five years on San Antonio Street back in November, has plans to reopen on the east side.
Via the "Save Sagra Austin" Facebook page, wherein patrons lamented the loss of their favorite spot and rallied behind it with support in their search for a new location: "Coming soon to the Eastside."
The new location looks to be at East 11th Street and Waller, if these shots of artist John Yancey's jazz murals at Dr. Charles E. Urdy Plaza are supposed be a hint. And oh look—there's their new signage.
UPDATE, January 18th: The Sagra folks tell Eater Austin that their new address is 1050 East 11th Street, and they "hope to be open by the end of the month."
