The Buzz Mill, a 24-hour coffee shop off of East Riverside Drive, has announced plans for its grand opening party this Saturday, January 19th, at 8 p.m. The Blue Ox BBQ & Pancake Cabin will also set up shop "on the patio." To recap: that's coffee all night and day, plus beer, barbecue and live music.
Marketing guy Ross Bennett tells Eater Austin that part of the Buzz Mill's mission is to "start the transformation of East Riverside" into "another destination area." In keeping with the Buzz Mill's loose affiliation with newly relocated-to-Riverside music venue Emo's, Bennett says, there will be "a lot of cross pollination though pre-shows, ticket giveaways and that sort of thing." The Bottomfeeders and Possessed By Paul James will provide aural entertainment during the Buzz Mill's opening festivities.
