ALAMOWIRE — Austin milkshakers reigned supreme in the first annual Alamo Drafthouse Milkshake Challenge, which drew over 2,000 entrants from across the country. The winner: "Concessions of a Dangerous Mind," a peanut buttery concoction topped with popcorn. But runner up "Lemony Thickness: A Series of Fortunate Ingredients" was so beloved by the panel of judges—which included your Eater Austin editor Andrea Grimes, the Austin American-Statesman's Addie Broyles, plus Drafthouse owner Tim League, chef John Bullington and beverage director Bill Norris—that it'll be offered exclusively in the Austin market.
