The Llama's Peruvian Creole food truck opened at the end of August at 7th and Trinity Street downtown, which means it's official: "Te llama la llama," the llama calls you. Eater Austin mentioned the truck's opening briefly earlier in Setpember, but didn't give the chef his proper credit: the guy behind the menu at Llama's is Julio-Cesar Florez, also the chef at Gusto Italian Kitchen, formerly the Latin American restaurant La Sombra.
Flores tells Eater Austin he will be doing double duty at Llama's and Gusto: "I am still at Gusto, a lot of work, but worth it."
