The fall 2012 edition of Austin Restaurant Week is nearly here, and the eight-day celebration of prix-fixe menus for a good cause (proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels and More) includes new spots Salty Sow and Papi Tino's, as well as old-school participants like Uchi and the Driskill Grill. Two- and three-course menus are available at participating restaurants for $11 or $17 at lunch (and select brunch locations for $17) and $27 or $37 at dinner. Diners can make reservations and browse menus with the ARW app, too.
Restaurant "week" itself lasts from September 23rd to 26th and September 30th to October 3rd, and the ARW kick-off party is tomorrow night, September 18th, at Swift's Attic downtown. A "suggested donation" of $10 is recommended, and gets attendees a complimentary cocktail and appetizers from chef Mat Clouser.
