afwballoon150.jpgThe Austin Food & Wine Alliance is unexpectedly rolling in non-literal dough, and they're happy to dole some of that out to the community to the tune of $20,000. According to a press release sent today, the AFWA (which is the "designated beneficiary" of the Austin Food & Wine Festival) will give out one $10,000 award and two $5,000 awards to culinary non-profits and individuals—could be anyone from chefs and farmers to craft brewers to "artisan producers"—based on "culinary innovation and community giveback." The grant application process starts here, today. [Eaterwire]
