Midnight Cowboy, the reservation-based cocktail lounge on Sixth Street, invites drinkers to cool down in the former brothel space with their mid-week "Heat Wave Specials." Via press release, beverage director Bill Norris says: "These drinks have all the attention to detail of our normal menu, but are long and refreshing for those days when you just need something refreshing."
The summery craft cocktails are $9 and only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They feature refreshing fruits and herbs, and the occasional splash of heat—Fire & Damnation Bitters, anyone?
Cowboy Rickey: Salted Old Tom Gin, Fresh Lime, Raspberry Syrup & SodaHot + Bothered: Two Kinds of Rum, Lime, Ginger beer, Fire & Damnation Bitters
Dill + Tonic: Dill Infused Gin, Commonwealth Tonic Liqueur, Soda
Galliano Smash: Galliano, Fresh Lemon, Mint & Prosecco
Scotch + Soda: Earl Grey Infused Scotch, Orange Bitters, Soda
Corn + Oil: Black Strap Rum, Fresh Lime, House Made Falernum, and Angostura Bitters, topped with Flames.
