"Thank you Adam Richman for the win on your show tonight!"
That's the winning word from the guys at the Noble Pig, who appeared on Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America last night, pitting their seared beef tongue sandwich against two other savory stackers in the Southwest division, including one right here in Central Texas.
"They're great guys, and they care about their customers, and they're inventive," gushes Richman about Noble Pig owners John Bates and Brandon Martinez in last night's Best Sandwich episode, which also featured the Salt Lick's sliced beef brisket sandwich and a honking 12-ingredient torta from Phoenix. The competition was tough, but the Noble Pig's seared beef tongue sandwich won out, with its in-house baked bread ("This may be some of the greatest bread I've had on any sandwich, ever."), perfectly cooked tongue and overall excellence.
"The taste is extraordinary," says Richman. "It really is next-level." Watch Richman break it down in this clip from the show:
