Jovita's Alleged Heroin Ring Leader Is Dying Of Cancer

New, 3 comments

Amado "Mayo" Pardo, the Jovita's owner that was arrested along with eighteen other people in a high-profile drug raid at his South Austin restaurant complex last month, is dying of liver cancer. His family released a statement to KVUE last night asking that "If you ever loved Jovita's or Mayo, please show your support by your presence at the hearing tomorrow."

By now, "tomorrow" is today, when Pardo will appear before a judge at 2:30 p.m. The Statesman will have live, Tweety coverage from the court.
