Meet The Man Behind Contigo's Rustic Aesthetic

Contigo owner Ben Edgerton's made his East Austin patio bar and restaurant a family-and-friends affair, modeling it after his family's South Texas ranch and hiring childhood friend Andrew Wiseheart as chef. But he also hired summer camp buddy Brian Chilton, who just so happened to be an aspiring artisan furniture maker, to engineer the restaurant's dining and seating apparatus, as well as the awning.

If you're curious about why Contigo looks the way it does, Chilton's a huge part of that, and he's the subject of the latest Contigo getting-to-know-us video, part of the restaurant's artsy PR project.
