If any Austin kitchen is familiar with the delicate dance of the chef shuffle, it's the one at Haddingtons, West Sixth's upscale American tavern that's been helmed over the past year and a half by Zack Northcutt, James Corwell, CT Turgeon and now Jacob Weaver of Mulberry downtown. Owner Michael Polombo confirms what a tipster leaked to us this morning: that chef CT Turgeon has left the restaurant. Polombo writes, via e-mail:
It is true, CT did much to benefit the restaurant but has moved on to pursue other projects after over a year at Haddingtons. Jacob Weaver, who I've worked with over two and a half years, previously exec chef at Mulberry, has assumed role of Culinary Director and now oversees the menus and kitchens at both Mulberry and Haddingtons.Polombo went on to write that "Jacob does an excellent job with both restaurants," and that "his summer menu for Haddingtons will be complete by end of June."
