Eater Austin's scored two pieces of exciting Paul Qui-related news today from East Side King co-owner Motoyasu "Moto" Utsunomiya. First, Austinites can look forward to an East Side King brick-and-mortar, opening at an as-yet-unnamed date, says Utsunomiya, "maybe South." Right now, he says "We have a lot of options," but they most likely won't be anywhere near their current East Side bar locales.
And what about that Paul Qui project that's single-restaurantedly fueling its own rumor mill? It's a go for Austin, says Utsonomiya, though he didn't satisfy any cravings for details: "Paul is opening his own restaurant, too, about the same time."
