Workhorse Bar Now Serving Craft Beer On North Loop

The Workhorse Bar quietly opened Monday evening, and locals are already swarming their unassuming new North Loop neighbor. Serving beer, bison burgers and bratwurst plus a killer mac 'n cheese in the old Parlor space, owners Steve Ettle and Brent Broyles are still working out some kinks with getting their selection of 50+ draught beers as cold as they'd like them to be, but it doesn't seem to be slowing business down.

For now the bar is open from 4 p.m. to midnight daily, but Ettles tells Eater Austin they'll open for lunch at 11 a.m. sometime in the next few days to test out the mid-day drinking waters.
