Is your idea of a good time meat, meat and more meat? Do you lust after that smoky char pluming from a good grill? Do you find yourself asking, "Where's the beef?" Well you're in luck, ladies and gentlemen, because we're giving away a pair of tickets to the Austin Food & Wine Alliance's Live Fire! Beef Supremacy and Flame Mastery event this Thursday, April 26.
All you have to do is email austin@eater.com a description of your perfect beef grillin' meal by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 24. We will pick the best one and post it on Eater. So, you'll officially be a famous blogger, and you'll have yourself a ball with some of the top chefs in the country on Thursday.
This year's cast features local heavy hitters like Franklin Barbecue's Aaron Franklin and Dai Due Butcher Shop's Jesse Griffiths as well as national stars like Naomi Pomeroy of Beast and Adam Sappington of the Country Cat, both in Portland. We'll see if any of them can best last year's offering from Brad Farmerie, of Public Restaurant in NYC: savory black pudding waffles with decadent red-wine-poached pears and a fluffy foie gras butter. The event takes place at the Salt Lick Pavilion from 6:30–9.
