The small-batch butchers and picklers at Salt & Time, which thus far have been selling their goods at various farmers markets around town super casually announced their plans for a brick-and-mortar via Facebook yesterday: "Oh, did our page name change. I wonder what that is all about?"

Well, it's all about the Salt & Time Butcher Shop and Salumeria, which will serve their signature meats as well as light snacks and lunch. The Statesman has more details:

Salt & Time Butcher Shop and Salumeria will allow owners Ben Runkle and Bryan Butler to expand their offerings to include sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as fresh cuts of meat from local and sustainable farms.

Runkle, who was profiled in this recent video from Austin film studio Revelator, says they hope to open the shop sometime this summer.

Their new location will be at 1912 E. Seventh Street by Huston-Tillotson University.
