Parkside's Shawn Cirkiel announced plans for a new Italian venture back in October, and today Olive & June opens to the public in Bryker Woods. Situated on three stories in the old El Arbol space, Olive & June is, according to Cirkiel, "a little bit more than just spaghetti and meatballs." Last week's soft opening revealed a menu of adventurous piccoli piatti, classic pastas and a diversity of Italian-inspired entrees and sides.
