The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2012 long-list of semi-finalists for their Restaurant and Chef Awards. Uchi's Philip Speer is nominated for Outstanding Pastry Chef, Barley Swine's Bryce Gilmore is a Rising Star Chef of the Year nominee and Paul Qui is nominated for Best Chef in the Southwest division.
