There's a "secret" menu launching at Austin-based Asian fusion chain Mama Fu's today. How secret is it? It's so secret we have a huge PDF copy of it, plus comments from the restaurant founder Randy Murphy talking all about it. What's on? Egg drop soup, pho, banh mi and two curry dishes.

Why the "Black Market" menu? Writes Murphy, via e-mail: "it allows us a solid forum to test new menu items and unique flavors to be included on the regular menu in the future," plus "we feel that the secretive Asian black market approach is a perfect back drop for the Mama Fu’s brand." And why these items? They've got "very good and distinct flavors" and are "on the front end of Asian culinary trends in the US." And the egg drop soup is the creation of the 2011 winner of their in-house Mama Fu's Culinary Challenge.
