Because being a golden, baby-faced god of football doesn't pay the bills indefinitely, former Texas Longhorn and current Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy will help open 24 Dunkin' Donuts as a partner in Coffee Action West LLC, the most action-packed coffee and donuts franchise group in these here parts. According to a press release, one of McCoy's partners is Dale Mulvey, who seems to have a thing for opening quick-serve restaurants with football players: he's the uncle of New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller, who counts ownership of a bunch of McAlister's Delis among his claims to fame.

McCoy will get some sweet Coffee Action in 21 "traditional" Dunkin' Donuts locations and three combo Dunkin' Robbins stores with Baskin-Robbins ice cream. The first new Dunkin' will open in "early 2013" in Cedar Park—there are currently just two Dunkin' Donuts stores in Central Texas.
