At long last, Sway has officially opened as of yesterday at 11 a.m., which means they're one lunch and dinner service into one of Eater Austin's most anticipated restaurant openings of the season. With a huge open kitchen and communal dining, Sway is unlike any existing Thai restaurant in Austin. On offer from their Australian-influenced Thai menu: whole fish, family-style dishes, a chef's tasting menu, inventive desserts from crazy talented pastry chef Laura Sawicki and "moo sway," a feast from chef Rene Ortiz that includes a whole pork shoulder, freshly shucked oysters and more, served just twice a day.
Sway is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
