Scratch another most-anticipated fall (ish) restaurant opening off the list: East Side King's first-ever brick-and-mortar operation, headquartered at campus dive and live music venue Hole In The Wall, will officially open December 4th. ESK media wrangler (and east side "queen") Deana Saukam sends word via press release this morning:
"We're all looking forward to the opening of East side King at Hole in the Wall," says Will Tanner, owner of Hole in the Wall. "For the first time in the history of Hole in the Wall, we are going to offer Japanese beers on tap, shochu, and sake to compliment the flavors found in East Side King's cuisine. We want the collaboration to emphasize the importance of food with drinking in a fun atmosphere."The ESK at HITW menu will be a "greatest hits" selection from Top Chef winner Paul Qui and co-founder Moto Utsunomiya's multiple East Side King operations, and will also feature "varieties of 'ESK' instant ramen." Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
