The third annual Gettin' Sauced festival is this Saturday, October 27th. That'll be "sauce" as in the stuff that barbecue purists argue about being necessary for a great meal, not the stuff that leaves you face down in the front yard. Local craft brewery Hops & Grain will play host to 150 sauce contestants, while a dozen vendors—Louie Mueller and Black's among them—will provide sauce and barbecue samples. Entry is free, but sample-enabling wristbands are $8 in advance and the VIP experience is $25 and includes early admission and souvenirs. [Eaterwire]
