El Chile Cafe y Cantina's founding chef, Jeff Martinez, is back in the kitchen at Carlos Rivero's east side restaurant "after a few years expanding his Latin American culinary knowledge," according to a press release sent today. Martinez has expanded that knowledge through travels in Peru and Mexico, as well as in the kitchens of Jeffrey's and Fonda San Miguel. He says he "may tweak" the menu and introduce some "more traditional Mexican cuisine." [Eaterwire]
