South Austin To Get Lit At Moontower Saloon

The festive fall patio at right is part of the soon-to-open Moontower Saloon, which Eater Austin first heard about way back in July '11. The bar is named for Austin's famous and historic moonlight towers.

The new far South Austin bar will open sometime after Halloween; they're currently under construction, but hosting a private party on the 31st with free beer for those who RSVP. Looking for work instead of a party? The Moontower is currently hiring for all manner of staffers, plus a couple of food trucks: "We still have two open spots for the right ones."
