Ongoing construction along 4th Street and Colorado downtown has been blamed for this weekend's closure of Maria Maria, the Carlos Santana-tastic regional Mexican restaurant.
The shuttered Warehouse District restaurant's building owner, David Zedeck, tells Eater Austin that the City of Austin has done a "real bad job of taking their sweet time" with road work at the intersection, but that he hopes to have a new tenant in the next month or so, by which time construction is supposed to be finished: "The next tenant will be very happy, we've got some people real interested," said Zedeck.
