The Red House Pizzera has announced it's on "hiatus" because the landlord has sold the property, according to a press release sent out this afternoon. The pizza joint had just hired a new chef less than a year ago, and now they're looking for a new space--hence, "hiatus," rather than permanent closing. From the release:

Austin-based restaurateurs who have owned and operated the likes of Eddie V’s, Moonshine and Hopdoddy.Let us rumormonger: our money is on 1917 Manor Road as the future home of the Salty Sow, brought to you by none other than Hopdoddy (and former Eddie V's) proprietors Larry Foles and Guy Villavaso. “We’ve known for some time that we may not be able to keep the restaurant there,” says Rivero. “We have a great relationship with the property owner. He really wanted to move on from the property and the right buyer finally came along. Unfortunately it wasn’t us, but we are looking forward to the next concept.”
