You'll recognize many names appearing at the first-ever San Antonio Cocktail Conference, held at the Gunter Hotel and four local bars from January 26 through 29th this year. There's Tito Beveridge of Tito's of vodka fame (Yes! That is actually his name!) and the "Tipsy Texan," David Alan, as well as Nate Wales and Cesar Aguilar of Austin's own La Condesa. Wales and Aguilar will be presenting a seminar called the Rise Of Spicy Cocktails, wherein for $30--if you don't buy the $275 all-access pass--you can "learn about the perception of heat and alcohol’s impact on “spice." The conference benefits HeartGift, which helps disadvantaged kids get life-saving heart surgery. [Eaterwire]
