South Congress' Hopdoddy Burger Bar won't belong exclusively to the busy South Austin thoroughfare for much longer. CultureMap Austin reports that the Hopdoddy proprietors are taking the chain northward and westward, to North Austin, Dallas and Arizona. Restauranteurs-about-town Larry Foles and Guy Villavaso opened Hopdoddy in October 2010, and now they're branching out:

Through their spokeswoman, Foles and Villavaso say that another Hopdoddy is set to open in late April in North Austin, at West Anderson Lane and Burnet Road. A tentative October opening date is scheduled for a Hopdoddy in Dallas, and negotiations are under way for a location in Scottsdale, Ariz. Among the highlights of Hopdoddy’s menu are Black Angus burgers, freshly baked buns, hand-cut fries and handcrafted beer.
Foles and Villavaso are also working on a restaurant called the Salty Sow. Mmmmm. If that restaurant name doesn't get your gut rumbling, we don't know what would.
