Pflugerville ISD's John B. Connally High School's culinary arts program occasionally invites local chefs of note to work with students, serving as an educational opportunity for chef-spiring kids and fundraisers.
Next Thursday This Monday, Parkside's (and soon, Olive & June's) Chef Shawn Cirkiel will guest chef at the school, and for $25 you can sit down for a four-course meal for a cause.
Cirkiel's menu starts with salsify fritters, continues with a roasted beet salad, then a butter roasted farm chicken and closes with chocolate donuts and bourbon pecan ice cream. But the high schoolers are pretty excited about that last bit, no? Tickets are available here, and the dinner's at the high school, promptly at 7 p.m.
UPDATE: The date on the reservation link is wrong! The dinner is Monday, January 16th.
