Here comes the 2011 Texas Book Festival, and this year's edition is complete with um, timely, poster art in addition to the charisma and camera-ready smiles of several food TV heavy-hitters.
During the two day festival on October 22 and 23, noted food geek and molecular gastronomy critic Alton Brown will be in town to present the third volume of his Good Eats books. Paula Deen will also be here to discuss the 300-plus recipes in her Southern Cooking Bible. Bravo's Top Chef Masters alum Hugh Acheson will be on hand to talk about A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented for Your Kitchen.
Austinites are sure to recognize a couple famous local names as well. Tyson Cole will be showcasing his critically-acclaimed Uchi: The Cookbook, and Louis Lambert of Lamberts Downtown Barbecue fame will be around to talk about Big Ranch, Big City Cookbook: Recipes from Lambert's Texas Kitchens.
Also! A bountiful assortment of festival food will be provided from the likes of Rudy's Bar-B-Q, Hey, Cupcake!, Caffé Medici, and Torchy's Tacos, among others.
