NORTH LAMAR — "Cupping," that act of supreme coffee dorkery/fancy way to taste coffee that is sweeping the nation, is coming to Houndstooth this fall. Classes will be held September 25, October 2, and October 9 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM and cost $65 for all three. Reservations required. [Eaterwire]

DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Barber Shop in Dripping Springs is having a Firemans #4 For Firefighters fundraiser on Saturday September 10 from 6:30 to 11:30. Proceeds from the sale of Firemans #4 Blonde Ale will go to local fire departments; they're also taking straight up donations if your check writing hand is itchy. [I Love Beer]
