Chef Jayson Reynolds, husband of chef Janelle Reynolds, writes in to say that his wife has left her position as executive chef at Bess Bistro and that the couple is expecting a baby. Reynolds took over the executive chef position when Camden Sturzenberger left in May. Also, Reynolds hints that they will be announcing a restaurant of their own opening sometime next year.
Meanwhile, Justin Raiford, who is Director of Culinary Operations for both Bess and its sister deli, Walton's Fancy and Staple, is taking over Reynolds' spot in the kitchen until they hire a permanent chef in the kitchen.
