So Long, Austin: Marc Katz Is Headed Back To New York

Katz's Deli down on West Sixth Street closed on New Year's Day, owner Marc Katz started selling cars for a living, and then filed for bankruptcy. If that's not a recipe for a re-start, we don't know what is: Katz is moving back to New York City. Well, Long Island, but y'all know. He's going to help some friends open a bar-slash-restaurant in Nassau County there in November (with Austinite friends Deanna Nauer and Cashmar Arnold, no less) but he'll be back to visit occasionally to see his friends and also because, let's be real, "I'm going to miss my fame."
