TexMo Editor Talks Barbecue In DC

franklin.jpgTexas Monthly editor Jake Silverstein talks barbecue with the Washington Post in advance of a promotional event there for the mag's barbecue smartphone app on Thursday. He says Texas barbecue "reflects the different historical strands here: the frontier, the South, the Mexican influence." He says there's been a "renaissance of traditional smoking" in Texas, thanks to folks like Aaron Franklin, and hates the "atrocious barbecue" served at the Capitol. [WaPo]
