Deegan McClung Out at Jeffrey's; Bridget Bishop is In

Jeffrey's executive chef/2011 Eater Award winner Deegan McClung is packing his bags and heading to New York, along with his wife/Jeffrey's general manager Kate McClung. McClung tells Eater, "Both Kate and I are looking forward to further opportunities...But we sure will miss our family, friends and colleagues. Not to mention margaritas, queso, and BBQ."

Meanwhile, current sous chef Bridget Bishop, whom McClung describes as "one of the hardest working, fastest learning young chefs I have had the pleasure of mentoring," is stepping up to run the kitchen. The Statesman hears that Bishop will have a hand in changing up the menu somewhat. Stay tuned.
