Austin Chef's Table Cookbook Promises Restaurants' 'Quintessential Austin-y' Recipes

Crystal Esquivel, the author of the Food Lovers' Guide to Austin and "chocolate-covered blog" Poco-Cocoa, is set to put out a cookbook focusing on Austin restaurant food.

Just like her first book, Austin Chef's Table will be published by Globe Pequot Press. Unlike her first book, this one will be part of the publisher's multi-city Chef's Table series.

Most of the book's details have yet to be set in stone, especially since the majority of the book's content depends on the restaurants that choose to participate and which recipes they feel like sharing. However, the goal is to feature "80-90 recipes from 50-60 local restaurants" falling in the still-unconfirmed (yep) yet basic categories of "Starters, Soups/Salads, Entrees, Sides, Desserts."

In any case, she's shooting to achieve a mix "Austin's fine-dining establishments, as well as some quintessential Austin-y spots" in time for the February 2013 target publishing date.
