Austin Beer Fest: Like the Houston Beer Fest, But in Austin

Here we go: the Houston Beer Fest is starting up an Austin version, with the promise of "over 500 craft beers from around the world." Presumably some of those will be Austin beers?

Before you get too excited, this year's Houston Beer Fest was disastrous by all accounts; Eater Houston says, "Austinites, you have been warned." Hopefully a change of scenery will do them some good.

From its Facebook page, it looks like they're holding it at Zilker Park, but there's no date as yet. They'll start accepting vendor applications once their official website launches, but for now check out their updates on Facebook and Twitter.
